Traditional Dry Sift Hash
This hash is locally made with sungrown organic sativa bud. Dry sifting is a method for separating trichomes from plant material. It is a traditional method for making hash. Long used in places like Moracco, Lebanon, and Afghanistan, this simple process has stood the test of time. Using a fine screen to separate out the kief from flower, it’s a super practical method.
There are two techniques have become most standard: dry sift and bubble (ice water) hash.
Dry sift hash is appreciated for its artisanal quality and strong flavors. It is our favourite method for capturing the floral terpene profile and taste.
Hash comes from the Arabic word “hashish”, which means “grass.” As you may guess, hash is made by using cannabis, and specifically its loose resin glands. The resin is collected and pressed with heat into blocks. Hash can be stiff and brittle or soft and pliable depending on how it was extracted. The effects of hashish are similar to smoking marijuana flowers. However it is much more concentrated than straight weed. Hash makes for a smooth transition from flowers to concentrates.
Use: Hashish is traditionally smoked in a pipe or bong. Although it can also be vaporized or added to joints.
